Job Purpose The Digital Content Manager will work closely with the Development and Communications Director to create and distribute digital content as part of our strategy to enhance Opera Rara's brand presence and charitable impact, engage audiences, and drive traffic across multiple platforms. Managing Opera Rara's content strategy and digital partnerships, the Manager will ensure that content aligns with our business goals, maintains brand voice, and leverages data-driven insights for optimization. In addition to generating and managing content, the Manager will develop and implement a Social Media strategy in collaboration with the Development and Communications Director and will plan and create print and digital communications and marketing to engage with Opera Rara's local and global audiences. Essential: Degree or equivalent experience in communications, marketing, journalism, or digital media. Skilled in CMS (e.g. WordPress), social media (Meta Business Suite, X, Instagram, LinkedIn, Hootsuite), and email platforms (Mailchimp/Dotdigital). Basic Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Premiere Pro). Confident in photography and video creation/editing. Knowledge of SEO. Strong writing skills with ability to translate artistic content for broad audiences. Interest in opera/classical music. Able to work independently and collaboratively in a small, fast-paced team. Desirable: CRM experience (e.g. Spektrix, Tessitura), analytics tools (Google Analytics, social insights), flexibility to work occasional evenings. Role is primarily remote, with agreed days at the Battersea Park office. Develop and produce compelling print and digital content across all channels, including website, email, social, video, podcasts, programmes, and advertising, ensuring brand alignment. Lead content planning and scheduling across platforms in line with performances and campaigns. Grow digital partnerships and manage agreements to expand reach. Collaborate on integrated marketing strategies to drive sales, awareness, and audience growth, including budgeting and reporting. Oversee proofreading and editorial standards. Monitor ticket sales for 6-10 events per year, analyse trends, and report insights. Maintain brand voice and champion accessibility. Use analytics to optimise performance. Manage website content and SEO. Ensure GDPR compliance as organisational representative. Stay current with digital trends. Support smooth office operations; duties may evolve.
