Job Description

Purpose of the Role

Art UK is therefore seeking to appoint a consultant or agency who can assist us in establishing the environmental impact of our Open Access programme across our activity plan, benchmarking this against similar offers and outlining key advice and action points to minimise environmental impact when planning for the delivery phase of this project. The appointed consultant will need to work alongside a Digital Asset Management consultant (separately recruited) to ensure that their recommendations are factored into their recommendations for a new DAM.

Scope of Work

1. Carry out an assessment of Art UK's carbon footprint, as relates to our digital infrastructure and public facing applications, and the proposed digital infrastructure to be developed through the Open Access programme.

2. Benchmark Art UK's performance in this area against platforms of similar size, within and outwith the cultural heritage sector.

3. Identify a combination of short term/immediate actions to improve Art UK's digital carbon footprint and longer-term considerations to guide the organisation for future project/developments.

4. Produce a report outlining the items above and present to Art UK team members.

5. Final Recommendations Report
