Key Responsibilities Digital Communications & Social Media Develop and deliver Ibraaz's social media strategy across Instagram, TikTok, X, and LinkedIn. Create original, engaging content including posts, reels, stories, and threads. Build an authentic and distinct digital voice for a cultural institution at its inception. Translate artistic and editorial ideas into compelling digital moments. Grow and engage online communities, sparking conversation and connection. Monitor insights and analytics, using data to refine approach and inform programming. Support promotion of exhibitions, events, editorial projects, films, audio, and public programmes. Website Management & Development Oversee the day-to-day management of ibraaz.org, ensuring content is accurate, up to date, and visually consistent. Upload, edit, and publish new content including essays, interviews, videos, audio, events, and exhibitions. Help shape the taxonomy, tagging, and structure of the website's content to allow for intuitive and accessible navigation. Create and maintain templates, workflows, and guidelines for team-wide publishing. Carry out light QA, fixing formatting, display issues, and basic technical glitches. Ensure accessibility standards are met (including captions, alt text, and clear structure). Maintain the overall health of the site, monitoring performance, updates, and stability. Provide monthly analytics and user insights to inform editorial and programme planning. Collaboration & Workflow Work closely with Editorial and Programme teams to coordinate releases and digital campaigns. Translate briefs into digital plans, schedules, and page layouts. Liaise with external designers and developers when technical support or improvements are needed. Ensure the digital identity of Ibraaz is coherent across all channels. Essential Strong understanding of social media platforms, digital culture, and current trends. Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a high standard of English. Experience managing content on websites or CMS platforms. Ability to turn ideas into engaging digital content. Strong visual awareness and storytelling ability. Confidence working across teams and disciplines. Experience with digital analytics and reporting. A collaborative, proactive approach, coupled with attention to detail. Desirable Experience working in an arts, cultural, editorial, or archive environment. Familiarity with metadata, tagging systems, or digital archiving. Interest in the Global Majority, contemporary art, visual culture, and digital communities. Basic understanding of accessibility standards for digital content. The successful candidate will speak fluent meme, reel, thread, and trend, and know exactly when to use each; they will be able to turn powerful ideas into digital moments that travel; they will be energised by the chance to build a new digital ecosystem from scratch and move fluidly between creative and organisational tasks; they will value the complexity and brilliance of the Global Majority, and bring a curious, cross-disciplinary approach that is always looking ahead. Working across editorial, and programme teams, the Digital Manager will ensure our digital presence is creative, cohesive, and technically robust.
