Description
This role evolves the management of a creative team of mascot makers in our new Farnham workshop. They would be expected to oversee the specific day to day needs of the body & head teams working at this facially whilst liaising/coordinating projects with the Production team in the London office.
Reporting Directly to the Head of Production, the Divisional Makers' Manager is to ensure that there is a cohesive link between Rainbow's SW19 manufacturing operations and its operations in Farnham. They will be expected to handle general and production tasks as well as overseeing the specific day to day needs of the Farnham facility.
The ideal candidate must have excellent organization and administrative skills, be adaptable, diligent, personable, and comfortable using their own initiative. As this is a new position the candidate must be willing to comply with any new tasks which ensure the smooth running of the division. Theymust be able to listen to concerns and be willing to learn and grow themselves taking a collaborative approach to problem solving.
Responsibilities:
- Implementing and maintaining production department policies, procedures and systems to ensure the smooth functioning of the Farnham workshop.
- Developing, nurturing and supporting the freelance Head and Prop makers within the division.
- Liaising with other departments to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Ensuring adherence to relevant regulations.
- Adherence to Rainbow's quality control standards.
- Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security
- Ensuring the workshops are accessible for the staff working there (full time & freelance) to complete the projects as necessary.
Duties:
- Ensure the workshops are maintained to a high standard.
- Foster personal growth in freelance makers
- Responsible for arranging general repairs of equipment.
- Check and maintain stock levels of frequently used materials.
- Ensure costume parts are correctly prepared for transportation.
- Liaising with SW19/couriers to receive and dispatch costumes.
- Production administrative duties
- Assist the Fabric division in conducting an annual audit and stock check.
