Job Summary

Teaching Drama to children between Year 1-6. approx. 3pm-5:30pm on Mondays in Kew, TW9. (exact timings vary from school to school - 2 hours work between these times.) Term Time only.

Job Description

  • £40/hour during probation of period of 1 term
  • £50/hour once completed.
  • Holiday pay provided from beginning of employment.
  • Mondays at a school in Kew (TW9)
  • TWO 1 hour sessions, back to back between approx. 3pm and 5:30pm
  • Every "2-hour-school-day" provides approx. £3,300 per year.
  • Term time only.

Teaching drama skills through games, producing plays and teaching towards the LAMDA exams. Training given on the job.

  • Enhanced DBS required.
  • Safeguarding training up to Level 3 provided.
  • Paediatric First Aid provided.
  • Term starts: Monday 6th January.

Monday's in Kew. This is our need. Other areas and days are available for the right teacher, but you MUST be available for this slot.

Job Requirements

  • Available for at least 1 term every Monday (11 weeks) from January 6th, 2025
  • Able to lead drama games and produce plays for Primary aged children.
  • Enhanced DBS.
  • To be able to teach during term-time for Primary Schools.
  • Safeguarding up to Level Three Level 3 & Paediatric First Aid is required but will be provided and then updated every year.

Job Responsibilities

"All the usuals" regarding the teaching of children at the Primary School age levels. These include:

  • taking the register
  • working effectively with your two assistants
  • Teaching and facilitating drama games and activities
  • producing plays with the children (once a year and over a term)
  • Ensuring safe dismissal of children to their adults
  • Overseeing health and safety of the drama rooms
  • Being vigilant and supportive on matters regarding safeguarding of children and staff.
