The main focus of this second phase of R&D is the book, so the Dramaturg will play a pivotal role shaping the focus of the R&D with the Director. We are looking for someone to do a script analysis of the current draft and provide rigorous feedback to help shape what the aims and objectives should be for the week. The role includes reviewing a draft of the script before the workshop, supporting development during the process, and providing final reflections to help shape the next stage of the script. Due to the nature of the work, we would like the Dramaturg to also work with the Co-Creators to ensure their feedback, stories and experiences feature in the text, so this will include a short zoom call with them in advance to discuss the role of a Dramaturg and hear about their thoughts on the script. The fee for this role is £1250 plus relocation allowance. Applicants will be invited to submit their CV with a short covering letter describing why they would like to be considered for the role. We are keen to hear from applicants with a connection to Nottingham and the Midlands area and those who are disabled. We welcome applications from all suitably qualified applicants, irrespective of gender, marital or parental status, ethnic or social origin, religion, belief, or sexual orientation. We consider Disabled to be someone who self identifies as disabled, neurodivergent d/Deaf, chronically ill, or with lived experience of disability. Please email your CV with a covering letter/email that details why you would like to be considered for the role of Dramaturg to [email protected] by 11:59pm on 08/06/26. Applicants may choose to offer a verbal or visual covering letter [no longer than 2 minutes in duration] to accompany their CV. If you need any assistance, please email [email protected]Job Summary
