Job Summary

We are looking for an ASM and DSM with experience of working in pantomime/musical theatre and with actor-musicians for our Rock ‘n’ Roll pantomime production of 'Beauty and the Beast' this winter.

Job Description

'Beauty and the Beast' will be directed by Jake Smith and written by the award-winning comedian, writer and composer Vikki Stone.

The New Wolsey Theatre was nominated as Theatre of the Year in the 2025 Stage Management Association awards, and has a national reputation for work in access and inclusion.

Dates:

  • Rehearsals - Monday 27th October 2025 - Saturday 15th November 2025.
  • Tech week - w/c Monday 17th November 2025.
  • First performance - Friday 21st November 2025.
  • Opening/Press Night - Tuesday 25th November 2025.
  • Last performance - Saturday 17th January 2026.

Rates:

ASM - £548 per week (Equity Subsidised Rep Grade 2) based on a 43 hour week from Monday to Saturday inclusive. Overtime, holiday, pension, and extra performances will be paid as per the UK Theatre/Equity agreement.

DSM - £562 per week (Equity Subsidised Rep Grade 2) based on a 43 hour week from Monday to Saturday inclusive. Overtime, holiday, pension, and extra performances will be paid as per the UK Theatre/Equity agreement.

Plus relocation subsistence of £235 per week if applicable (where your home address is 25 miles or further from the venue), as per UK Theatre/Equity agreement.

Job Requirements

Experience of working in pantomime/musical theatre and with actor musicians is essential.
