Your role will include managing a variety of events in the vibrant and historic Brighton Dome Concert Hall and across the city and beyond during the Brighton Festival in May. You will have excellent organisational skills and be proficient in Office 365 and able to learn other IT systems quickly and effectively. Duty Event Managers need to be calm and cool headed under pressure, adapt their approach to a variety of different people and circumstances and motivate a team and colleagues to produce exceptional events. Experience gained front of house in an arts, events, entertainment or conferencing setting is essential. You must have a passion for making environmentally sustainable, inclusive and accessible events. As a Duty Event Manager you will have overall responsibility for the smooth running of events and leading the stewards, volunteers and security staff while they are on shift. Our programmed public events include standing rock & pop, contemporary dance, comedy, classical music, family events and much more. You will provide the all-important first impression at events, leading the team and ensuring the health, safety and enjoyment of all attending.
