We are looking for Duty Managers with relevant experience who are personable, organised, and responsible. Duty Managers play a major role in the delivery of high quality customer service at Jacksons Lane. Regular weekend work will be required.

Job Description

Jacksons Lane is seeking Duty Managers to to join our team. As the flagship arts and cultural venue in Haringey, Jacksons Lane hosts a year-round programme encompassing the best in contemporary circus performance, arts participation activities, cultural education, and outreach work for both its community and the sector as a whole. This is an exciting time to join Jacksons Lane as we prepare to celebrate our 50th anniversary with a host of events throughout 2025 and prepare for borough of culture to come to Haringey in 2027.

The role will oversee the safety, wellbeing and customer care of visitors and audiences, liaise with internal departments such as technical and operations and be a point of contact for visiting companies, hirers, producers and artists.

Job Responsibilities

  • To be responsible for the safety and security of the venue and of all Visitors and building users

  • To be based at the Welcome Desk to greet all visitors, deliver an excellent overall customer experience, and answer any queries about the organisation or its activities

  • To use the Box Office system (Spektrix) to process ticket and merchandise sales, donations and regular giving initiatives, and invoice payments

  • To use the Diary Management system (Artifax Event) to process studio hire bookings and invoices

  • To act as the Evacuation leader in the event of an emergency, and to coordinate the safe evacuation of the building
