Job Summary

DramEd is looking for an experienced Early Years Drama Practitioner to cover nursery sessions that bring popular and traditional stories to life through drama, role play and drama games.

Job Description

You will deliver engaging 30-minute drama sessions for nursery-aged children, using storytelling, imaginative play and simple drama games. Lesson plans are provided, with space for your own artistic licence within the structure.

Schedule, Locations & Fees:

  • Acton (Tuesdays)
    2 30-minute classes, 10.30am-11.30am
    £60 total (£30 per class)

  • Kensington (Tuesdays)
    2 30-minute classes, 1.30pm-2.30pm
    £60 total (£30 per class)

  • Perivale (Wednesdays)
    1 30-minute class at 11.00am
    £30

  • Additional Wednesday Session
    1 30-minute class at 2.15pm
    £30

You will lead sessions independently, creating a warm, safe and engaging environment for young children.

Job Requirements

  • Essential experience delivering drama or storytelling sessions to Early Years children

  • Confidence leading sessions independently

  • Valid DBS

  • Reliable, punctual and professional

  • Warm, playful and child-centred approach

  • Ideally, we are looking for one practitioner to cover all sessions. A driver with access to a car would be helpful due to multiple locations, though this is not essential.

Job Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging 30-minute drama sessions for nursery-aged children

  • Bring popular and traditional stories to life through drama, role play and movement

  • Follow provided lesson plans while adding creative flair where appropriate

  • Create a warm, safe and inclusive environment for young children

  • Manage groups with calm, clear boundaries and positive energy

  • Adapt activities to suit the developmental needs of Early Years children

  • Lead sessions independently and professionally
