Job Description

The Role:
We're on the hunt for an experienced Early Years Practitioner who is not only passionate about working with children but also knowledgeable about the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework. This role involves creating a unique, fun, and structured daily timetable that keeps our young campers engaged and learning. With up to 30 children in your group and two supportive team members by your side, you'll help make every day at Art Camp exciting, educational, and memorable!

  • Experienced in EYFS, with the ability to design activities that align with developmental milestones.
  • Organized and creative, ready to devise your own unique daily timetable that keeps children engaged and thriving.
  • Comfortable managing a group of up to 30 children, with two support staff to help.

Job Requirements

Qualified Early Years Practitioner

  • Relevant qualifications in Early Years Education (such as Level 3 Early Years Educator or equivalent).
  • Strong working knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework and ability to integrate it into creative activities.
  • Proven experience in planning and delivering engaging, age-appropriate lessons and activities.
  • Ability to design a unique, fun, and structured daily timetable that incorporates creative and educational elements.
  • Experience managing groups of up to 30 children, with support from two additional staff members.
  • Skilled in maintaining a positive, structured, and inclusive environment for children.
  • Genuine enthusiasm for art and creativity, with the ability to inspire and encourage young children to express themselves.
  • Strong interest in introducing children to various art forms, from visual arts to performing arts and hands-on crafts.
    • Knowledge of health and safety standards in childcare settings

Job Responsibilities

Designing and Implementing Engaging Activities

  • Plan and lead creative, developmentally appropriate workshops that align with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
  • Develop a unique and exciting daily timetable, incorporating activities that support children's social, emotional, and creative development.
  • Recognize and respond to the individual needs and abilities of each child, adapting activities as necessary to ensure all children can participate and thrive.
  • Provide encouragement, guidance, and support, building children's confidence and enthusiasm for learning through creative expression.
  • Oversee children during lunchtime and playtime, ensuring they are safe, happy, and socially engaged.
  • Encourage positive interactions among children during these times, and provide any necessary support with meals or outdoor play.
  • communicate regularly with parents and guardians, updating them on their child's progress, achievements, and any concerns.
