Bristol Old Vic is looking for a versatile Editor (part-time) proficient in both post-production editing and on-site camera operation. The ideal candidate will excel in creating polished video content while demonstrating hands-on expertise in filming, multi-camera setups, and equipment management.
We are now looking for someone to join our small and dynamic team in the role of part-time Editor (with Camera Skills). This is a new position within the organisation and offers the right candidate the opportunity to shape the role during an exciting period of growth for the department. Bristol Old Vic has recently been awarded a place on the Bloomberg Digital Accelerator Programme to develop its B2C digital strand alongside it's newer commercial Film Services offer.
The post holder will work on full length filmed theatrical performances as well as creating dynamic short form marketing content.
Editing video content (social media/short-form, and recorded stage performance/long-form), filming with multi-camera setups, and managing pre/post-production workflows. Key elements include:

- Required Skills: Mastery of Adobe Premiere Pro (or similar software) and practical camera operation expertise (DSLR, mirrorless, or Blackmagic).
- Desirable Skills: Proficiency in colour grading, sound design, motion graphics, or animation.
- Qualifications: Relevant education in media production or a strong portfolio showcasing editing and filming projects.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Edit video content for platforms like social media, websites, and events, ensuring alignment with brand guidelines.
- Film footage using multi-camera setups in studios, on location, or offsite.
- Manage pre-production tasks: storyboarding, scripting, equipment setup, and logistics.
- Collaborate with directors, producers, and marketing teams to achieve creative vision.
- Optimise content for platform-specific formats (e.g. 9x16 for Instagram Reels).
