The Elders Project Co-ordinator role sits within our Take Part Department and is a new fixed term and part time position. The role will be tasked with researching, developing and trialling a new programme of work for elders. The role will spend time integrating with and understanding the current provision of work for older people in the area. They will then lead on managing the initial programme of activities, and will work with The Theatre Director, Fundraising staff and Take Part Director to create a future plan for the programme and how it might be sustainably funded and staffed. The role comes at an exciting juncture of expansion. Already partnered with Age Concern Chipping Norton, Lawrence Nurses and a number of care homes, we are looking further and wider in our reach and development of this programme. This is a unique opportunity to develop a project of significant scale with lasting and life changing impacts. The Elders Project Co-ordinator is line managed by the Take Part Director and works alongside the Head of Community and Take Part Officer The role is suitable for candidates with strong professional experience in community arts and social impact work. We are looking for someone who is passionate about the arts, and their capacity to effect positive change in people's lives. The delivery of the role will on occasion require some flexibility to attend external meetings, and a degree of hybrid working is welcomed. Salary: £7408.20 fixed fee / £13.70 per hour Hours: 14 hours a week Contract: Fixed term for 39 weeks. - Experience of working with and understanding the needs of older people.
- Experience of working with and/or supporting vulnerable people.
- A confident, enthusiastic and welcoming personality, able to take the lead when liaising with members of the public, including vulnerable people, young people and older people.
- Computer literacy (Microsoft) and acceptable levels of numeracy.
- Strong personal organisation skills, including a proven track record in project planning, creation and management.
- Driven and entrepreneurial, with a passion for the arts and community work.

- To make connections with organisations that work with and support older people in and around our community, exploring potential future partnerships, and understanding the current offer (what's working, what's not working, and what's absent).
- To begin some programmes of work that build naturally from our current programme, including Movement Sessions for those living with Parkinsons.
- To offer taster sessions of new activities, ascertaining uptake and demonstrating need and impact.
- To explore options to provide transport for older people to reach the participatory sessions.
