Job Summary

This role combines the sales and administration of event bookings as well as the managing of live events. You will be liaising with clients, as well as supporting them on the day to deliver a successful event. You will handle incoming enquires, providing administration for bookings.

Job Description

Location: Venue-based - Most of your time will be spent in our venue on Bristol Harbourside interacting directly with clients.

Salary: £27,089 per annum, (£21,672 pro-rata)

Contract: Permanent

Working hours: Part-time, 30 hours a week (0.8 FTE)

About the role

This role combines the sales and administration of event bookings as well as the managing of live events.

You will be liaising with clients to help plan in the lead up to their booking, as well as supporting them on the day to deliver a successful event.

You will also handle incoming enquires for our event spaces, providing administration for bookings including responding to phone and email enquiries and contracting and invoicing confirmed events.

This is a busy, fast paced role and requires flexibility to pick up live event management hours both within and above your contracted hours.

Job Requirements

What we're looking for from you

_Experience of working in a fast-moving events environment.

_Experience in a client facing role and passionate about customer service.

_Experience of leading a team and passionate about getting the most out of people.

_You are highly organised and are able to multitask and prioritise in a busy role.

_You have excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.

_You have the ability to absorb information and pick up systems confidently and quickly.

_Administration experience, ideally in a sales or events environment.

_Ability to think on your feet and provide solutions during live events.

Job Responsibilities

What will you do in this role?

_Delivering events with the flexibility to work early mornings, late evenings and weekends, taking responsibility for operations of the building outside of normal operating hours (managing fire evacuation, Health and Safety procedure, safeguarding and liaising with emergency services when required).

_Liaising with clients frequently in the lead up to their events to provide advice and to ensure that all requirements are understood and documented.

_Ensuring that event spaces are set-up, clean and tidy with an eye for detail with a hands-on approach to any physical tasks.

_Providing excellent customer service, empathising with client's frustrations solving problems effectively and keeping calm under pressure.

_Collaborating and communicating effectively with other teams & suppliers to ensure that each event is smooth running from start to finish.

_Managing and co-ordinating event support staff during live events, set ups and breakdowns.
