We are looking for an Events and Venues Technician to join our Estates team.

Job Description

Full-time: 34 hours per week
Salary range: £28,876 to £31,706 per annum inclusive of London Allowance
Contract type: Permanent

We are looking for an Events and Venues Technician to join our Estates team. You will be part of a small team who are responsible for classroom, ensemble and events set ups across the Academy venues (Duke's Hall, Angela Burgess Hall, David Josefowitz Recital Hall, Concert Room, Forsyth Room and large teaching/practice rooms). You will be key in advising and assisting with technical services for teaching, classes, and public events, to include visual presentations and audio playback of the highest quality.

This is a hands-on-role and will require occasional weekend working.

The successful candidate will have knowledge of orchestral layouts and specialist instruments, previous experience of events setup, the ability to manoeuvre large, heavy and valuable instruments and furniture. You will be friendly, approachable and with good customer service skills. The enthusiasm to work as part of a small team and a make a difference are also essential.
