We're looking for an enthusiastic, proactive Events Manager who is ready to roll up their sleeves and take ownership of our growing events offer. This role would suit someone with a few years of relevant experience who is now looking for a long-term opportunity to develop professionally within a supportive, passionate team. You'll be responsible for coordinating and managing a wide variety of events - both private and public - from initial enquiry to post-event follow-up. This includes hands-on delivery (typically evenings and weekends), staffing, client communication, bar and catering coordination, and all associated admin. Please note that The Golden Hinde is a unique historic vessel. Temperatures and weather conditions may vary. The work can be physically demanding, involving uneven surfaces, ladders, stairs, and occasional confined spaces. Flexibility, resilience, and adaptability are essential. The ideal candidate will be a confident communicator, highly organised, with a practical mindset and strong attention to detail. A can-do attitude, creative thinking, and the ability to work flexibly and independently are essential. Salary: £28,000-£30,000 per annum, depending on experience.
