Job Requirements

We are seeking an inspiring and strategic leader to guide Evolve Music into its next chapter. You will bring proven experience of leading an organisation or programme, with the ability to think strategically and turn vision into action. You'll have a successful track record in fundraising and income generation, strong financial literacy, and a sound understanding of charity governance.

Skilled in managing and developing people, you will foster an inclusive, supportive culture. Excellent communication, partnership-building and advocacy skills are essential, alongside a deep commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion and an understanding of participatory arts, music, or the wider creative health and education sectors.

Job Responsibilities

The Executive Director provides strategic, financial and operational leadership for Evolve Music.

They lead business planning, fundraising and income generation and oversee the delivery of all programmes to ensure quality, impact and sustainability. Working closely with the Board of Trustees, they manage finances, governance, and compliance, while supporting a positive, inclusive working culture.

The role includes line management of key staff, maintaining strong partnerships across arts, health and education sectors, and representing Evolve regionally and nationally. The Executive Director acts as an ambassador for Evolve's mission to use music for community wellbeing and social impact.
