The Executive Director is Silent Uproar's senior operational leader, working as a "running mate" alongside the Artistic Director & CEO. Where the Artistic Director focuses on creative vision, programming and artistic leadership, the Executive Director ensures the organisation runs brilliantly: its finances are sound, its partnerships are strong, its operations are smooth, and its people are supported. This is a role for someone who thrives in a small, ambitious organisation and is excited by the opportunity to shape its future. You will bring strong financial acumen, a strategic mindset, and the ability to turn plans into action. You'll be comfortable rolling your sleeves up and getting stuck in - in a team this size, no two days look the same, and that's part of the appeal. The Executive Director will: - Provide strong, strategic management to enable Silent Uproar to achieve its artistic and organisational objectives. - Ensure Silent Uproar's financial sustainability through rigorous financial management, innovative fundraising, and the development of commercial partnerships. -Oversee the delivery of Silent Uproar's programme of productions, projects and activities to the highest professional standards. - Create a positive, supportive working culture, developing staff and freelancers to their potential. - Act as a key interface between the artistic and business functions of the company, ensuring that creative ambitions are underpinned by robust organisational planning.
Essential Demonstrable experience in financial management, including budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting within a charity, arts or not-for-profit context. A track record of successful fundraising, including writing funding applications and developing relationships with funders. Experience of managing projects and/or productions from planning through to delivery. Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise competing demands and work to deadlines. Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build productive working relationships with a wide range of people, including artists, funders, board members and partner organisations. Confident communicator with strong written and verbal skills. Experience of line managing staff or freelancers. A collaborative, flexible approach - happy to work strategically and to roll your sleeves up when needed.

The Executive Director will work closely with the Artistic Director & CEO to uphold and further these values throughout all of their duties. Working closely with the Artistic Director & CEO, you will ensure the organisation runs smoothly and sustainably while supporting our ambitious artistic programme. In this role you will: Oversee the company's finances, including budgeting, reporting, cash flow and Theatre Tax Relief. Lead and support fundraising activity across trusts, foundations, corporate partners and public funders. Support the planning and delivery of productions and projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and on budget. Develop strong relationships with venues, partners, sponsors and sector organisations. Oversee governance and organisational management, including board reporting, charity compliance and risk management. Support and develop staff and freelancers
