Are you a master of organisation with a good eye for detail?Do you love the idea of managing two beautiful and inspiring arts spaces where creativity thrives? If so, we have the perfect role for you!

The job:

As our Facilities and Office Manager, you'll be the backbone of The Bright Foundation's operations. You'll oversee the day-to-day running of our two venues:

  • Barn Theatre and Museum -showcasing a collection of antique toys and puppets, alongside a 50-seat children's theatre, all set in 24 acres of countryside on outskirts of Hastings
  • Benbow Arts Space - a creative hub for young people dedicated to the art of filmmaking located just off the seafront of St Leonards-on-Sea

You will take responsibility for the operations and maintenance of our buildings, grounds and exhibitions. This is a key role ensuring our venues are safe, welcoming and well managed, supporting both day-to-day activities and long term development.

Job Requirements

  • Experience managing a venue, building, or office.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach with excellent organisational skills.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety policy and compliance (or willingness to learn).
  • Experience managing people, contractors and budgets.
  • A passion for arts, culture, and creativity!

Job Responsibilities

  • Keeping our venues safe, welcoming, looking good, and running smoothly.
  • Overseeing maintenance, health & safety, and supplier contracts.
  • Managing our Caretaker and Groundskeeper and a team of duty managers.
  • Supporting events, and managing our pop-up bar/caf .
  • Leading on venue hire.
  • Keeping internal systems and office management working effectively.
  • Helping to shape the future of our venues with exciting new projects!
