Wye Valley Chamber Music are looking for a Festival Manager to work alongside the Festival Director, Artistic Directors and Board of Trustees. The role is for approximately 1 day per week (flexible working hours, equivalent to a standard 9-5 working day) ad hoc year-round, with a 10-day residency in February and 7-day residency in July during our Festival periods. Remuneration is £9,500 per annum. Ideally, we are looking for someone who can start work in mid-late October this year (2026). The Festival Manager oversees event management, marketing, fundraising, financial management, the Friends Scheme and other administrative tasks in dealing with trustees' meetings and the submission of reports and accounts to the Charities Commission. The Festival Manager also line manages a House Manager, who oversees the musicians' accommodation and day-to-day needs at Treowen Manor during each Festival. A knowledge of the arts sector and events management.
Good organisational and computer skills.
Good interpersonal skills, both in representing the Festival and working with the Festival team.
A responsible and proactive approach.
Driving licence.
Experience in fundraising.
A working knowledge of music and small chamber music events.
