Job Summary

Film & TV Teacher needed for Weekend Performing Arts School. Teaching 6 - 18 Year olds the skills of Film & TV production.

Job Description

Are you ready to inspire the next generation of filmmakers?

Are you a filmmaker or have industry knowledge of film and television production?

Then PQA want to hear from you!

PQA, a leading provider of weekend performing arts training, is currently looking for a local filmmaker to work with our students at PQA St Helens on a Saturday from 9:20-13:15 devising and shooting short films with students.

PQA St Helens runs for 41 weekly sessions a year (some occasional double session days take place). We are looking for a candidate who can give a long-term commitment. There may be a rare occasion where you may be needed outside of the Saturday for training/external events but prior notification will be given.

You will be leading filmmaking workshops with children from 6 - 18 years creating material that can ultimately be screened in a local cinema and shared online. You will have experience working with and teaching children and young people and have a strong background making short films or television.

Job Requirements

Teachers must be able to create short films with the students so relevant experience of pre-production, shooting and post-production is needed.

PQA follows safer recruiting. An enhanced DBS on the update service will be required and can be arranged.

Teachers must hold either a relevant film/media degree or have relevant professional experience and be aged 21 or over.
