Wellbeing in the Arts provides mental health and wellbeing support to the creative industries by offering access to an Employee Assistance Programme (EAP), production support, mental health first aid training, workshops, talks, events, and much more. We work with a diverse range of over 125 trainee and qualified Counsellors and Coaches, and in the last twelve months, over 1,500 people have accessed our counselling and coaching service with over 10,000 sessions being delivered. Our organisation supports companies of all sizes across the creative industries both nationally and internationally. We are looking for a Finance Assistant to join our growing team. Duties include: Process incoming and outgoing financial transactions (including invoices, payments, etc) in a timely manner Reconcile transactions on our accounting system (Xero) Create monthly financial records Handle queries from internal and external stakeholders (including accountants, organisations we are working with, practitioners, etc) Support the preparation of year-end accounts Collaborate with team members to improve financial processes and procedures This is an initial part-time position, 21 hours per month, the equivalent of three full days (with much of the time concentrated at the beginning and end of each calendar month) The role can be performed remotely, but the successful candidate must be based in the UK and able to meet in person on occasion The ideal candidate will have: Experience in accounting or finance-related roles, preferably within the creative industries A high level of skill in using Xero accounting software and Microsoft Excel An ability to work both self-sufficiently and collaboratively as part of a busy organisation Excellent numerical and administrative skills, as well as a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail Proficiency in using accounting and software packages (in particular Xero and Microsoft Excel) A positive, friendly and personable manner Duties include: Process incoming and outgoing financial transactions (including invoices, payments, etc) in a timely manner Reconcile transactions on our accounting system (Xero) Create monthly financial reports Handle queries from internal and external stakeholders (including accountants, organisations we are working with, practitioners, etc) Support the preparation of year-end accounts Collaborate with team members to improve financial processes and procedures If you would like to apply for this position, please send a CV and cover letter outlining your background and experience to Kate at [email protected].Job Summary
