This is a senior role within our charity to oversee and manage all financial operations. This will include working alongside the Artistic Director and Trustees to set budget, working on annual accounts alongside our external accountant and helping to improve and maintain financial systems. You'll also manage our day-to-day finance operations including book keeping, monitoring project budgets and producing management reports and accounts. This role would particularly suit someone with a creative and entrepreneurial mindset, as we are currently exploring several new income models (including a new charity musical instrument shop). We are also exploring the possibility of claiming Orchestra Tax Relief as a way to diversify our income. This all may necessitate a new company structure to be set up and managed alongside our charity, so that we can grow these elements of our work, all in the aim of funding our core programme of charitable work. You'll need a willingness to work closely with the Artistic Director, Trustee (Treasurer) and External Accountant in this role. There is no expectation that you have experience in all listed areas, rather a willingness to learn. This role would also suit someone who enjoys working as part of a team, and cares about making a positive difference through community, music and the arts.
