We are an artist-owned and operated fine art logistics business. We understand the precision and care required to handle, transport, and store art because we are artists ourselves. Working closely with the Director, you will act as the welcoming first point of contact for our clients and the central driving force behind our daily operations at Art Cargo. This dynamic role is perfect for a highly organised, digital-savvy professional who is passionate about the "backstage" of the art world-how invaluable pieces are handled, transported, and cared for. To thrive in this adaptable role, you must be a clear communicator with a proactive attitude and exceptional organisational skills. While a background in galleries, fine art logistics, commercial pricing, and art insurance is desired, your reliable nature and ability to seamlessly master the daily puzzle of art transport will be the true keys to your success. We're looking forward to hearing from you! Essential: Exceptional Organiser: Keen eye for detail to efficiently manage quotes, schedules, routing, and numerical data. Highly Digital: Excellent digital literacy with the ability to quickly learn new software and databases. Autonomous & Reliable: Proactive work ethic; someone a Director can confidently delegate daily operations to. Client-Facing Confidence: Friendly, clear communicator (written and verbal) who represents the business professionally. Adaptable: Thrives in a desk-based role but enjoys hands-on warehouse learning and client visits. Art World Interest: Genuine passion for the "backstage" of the art world, including handling, installation, and care. Desired: Sector Experience: Background in fine art logistics, galleries, museums, or artist studios. Platform Knowledge: Familiarity with Detrack (or similar logistics platforms), Articheck, and inventory spreadsheets. Commercial Acumen: Proven experience pricing, quoting, and upselling business services. Inbox & Quotes: Manage the inbox as the face of Art Cargo. Provide accurate quotes, pricing jobs strategically via AI and calculators to meet revenue thresholds. Insurance: Master our policies to ensure all handled art is protected. Calculate premiums accurately and explain the importance of cover to clients. Logistics: Coordinate daily transport routes, from local runs to our fortnightly service, assigning jobs to drivers and technicians. Tech Integration: Optimise our booking and despatch operations using databases, the Detrack distribution app, and Google Workplace for database and reporting Storage & Inventory: Quote specialised storage services to convert one-off jobs into long-term accounts. Manage internal and client inventories. Condition Reporting: Oversee physical artwork intake/release at the facility. Write digital reports via Articheck and proactively upsell this service during quoting. Please send your CV and a short cover email explaining your interest and how you meet the essential criteria for the role. You can email it to [email protected] - Deadline is midnight of 16.11.2026Job Summary
