To assist in the safety of the Aerodrome Operation at IWM Duxford. As a qualified CAA Aerodrome Fire Fighter you shall meet the requirements of the CAA CAP 699 Training manual in relation to all the duties of a Fire Fighter at a licenced Aerodrome. These include: All Fire Service personnel will be expected to add additional skills to their job role as part of their personal development. Due to the nature of the aerodrome opening times and on special events you will work a variable shift pattern of 5 days on 5 days off. Summer hours 0800hrs - 1900hrs | Winter hours 0800hrs - 1800hrs You are also required and contracted to work up to an additional 255 hours per annum. These hours will be allocated with as much notice as possible. They will be used to work: air shows, special events, covering out of hours flying, internal and external training, covering annual leave, sick leave and leap year days. Fire Service Staff should be flexible in their duties so as to provide cover for the early/late flying during the year. There are no overtime payments for additional hours.
