Deadline for applications: 12pm, Monday 29th June 2026 We're looking for an enthusiastic and inclusive music leader to lead our Folk Rock Band as part of Make Music Adults at The Glasshouse International Centre for Music. From the early folk revival to today's contemporary folk-rock artists, this exciting group explores a broad range of repertoire in a band setting. Open to a mix of instruments including guitar, bass, drums, fiddle, mandolin, accordion, melodeon, flute and whistle, the group is designed for musicians who are beyond beginner level and keen to develop their skills through collaborative music-making. You'll lead weekly sessions on Thursdays from 6-7.30pm during term time, helping participants grow in confidence, improve their musicianship and enjoy making music together in a supportive environment. You'll contribute to session planning, resource development and the ongoing success of our folk pathway. We're looking for someone with professional performance or band-leading experience, a passion for folk and folk-rock music, and a commitment to inclusive music-making. You'll be confident working with adults from a range of backgrounds and abilities, creating engaging sessions that support personal, social and musical development. Location: The Glasshouse International Centre for Music
Working hours: 1.5 hours per week, weekly sessions will take place on Thursdays 6-7.30pm, 10-week term time.
Salary: Scale Point 50 including planning and preparation ( £28.50 per hour including holiday pay / £48.42 per session) How to Apply
