This role is expected to be in place from 18 December 2024 to 16 May 2025. 60 days work, at 7.5 hours per day. Working hours are flexible in consultation with line manager. The Producer will work closely with the core team on the lead up to and during the festival, with additional reporting and evaluation work post the festival being completed up to the end of May 2025. The successful applicant will support the team in the effective operations of the festival and delivery of related programme outputs. They will help drive the programme forward with a specific focus on overseeing select exhibitions for the festival; managing a small group of volunteers, and managing delivery of select key events, plus the conference and Photobook Market. The Producer will play a vital role in the success of the festival, working closely with the FORMAT/ QUAD Programme Team (specifically QUAD Programme Manager; FORMAT Coordinator; QUAD Assistant Curator; Dancing Through Time Project Coordinator); as with the QUAD Finance Team; QUAD Marketing and Technical Teams; FORMAT Placements and Volunteers and related festival staff and partners across multiple sites. The Producer will need to be a skilled communicator and negotiator, ensuring a deep level of partner and participant engagement, also working closely with artists producing exhibition projects specifically involving photography and lens-based media. Be responsible for selected budgets ensuring financial management of the relevant programme including regular reports to and meetings with the QUAD Arts Programme Manager and FORMAT Coordinator on Festival budgets. Liaise with and brief the FORMAT/QUAD technical team, comprised of paid technical assistants, interns and volunteers, as required. Work closely with QUAD, festival partners and technical staff and freelance contractors to understand and fulfil all related artist and event/ talks/ workshops technical requirements. Co-ordinate technical resources and requirements efficiently and within set budgets. Manage the contracting of venues, artists, suppliers and partners with support from the QUAD Arts Programme Manager and FORMAT Coordinator. Main liaison for events/ talks/ workshops.
