Thanks for your interest in the Freelance Application Writer role with Molly Mural LTD. This is a freelance role starting immediately. You will support multidisciplinary artist and designer Molly Hawkins, who is dyslexic, with writing applications. Molly has previously been the recipient of R&D funding from Arts Council England and has won bids for public art commissions by responding to call-outs. You should therefore have familiarity with both writing funding applications (including using Arts Council England's Grantium portal) and responding to tenders for art in the public realm (ideally with experience of the ProContract portal). You won't work a set number of hours in any week or month; instead you will respond ad hoc to the need for application writing. Jobs will be confirmed by mutual agreement between you and Molly. If you are available for the job then you'll be asked to provide an estimate of the number of hours you'll need to review the application documents and write the application. Some applications will have a short turnaround, so you must be prepared to react speedily to each potential job. Please note this is a Support Worker role funded through Access to Work at a fixed rate of £25/hour. Payments will be made direct to you via the Department for Work and Pensions portal. The first payment may be slow but once set up on their system payments are normally made within 28 days. - Strong application-writing and storytelling skills - Discuss Molly's ideas, experience and proposed projects with her Email [email protected] by 12pm on Monday 9th November 2026, using the subject line 'Freelance Application Writer.' Before applying, please read the British Dyslexia Association’s guidance and format your application as an easy-read document. Applications that do not demonstrate an understanding of this guidance will not be considered. Attach one PDF cover letter named: ‘FirstName LastName_App Writer’. Please do not send a CV or other materials. Include your contact details and concise answers to these questions. Bullet points are welcome: 1. Tell us about an application you have written that demonstrates your ability to bring ideas to life through clear, concise storytelling. (200 words max.) 2. What strengths would you bring to the Freelance Application Writer role? (100 words max.) 3.
