Join us in delivering a creative summer programme for young people in Sevenoaks
West Kent Mind is seeking an inspiring and experienced Artist Practitioner to co-design and deliver creative workshops as part of Bradbourne Rejuvenate, a unique summer programme combining heritage, archaeology, creativity and wellbeing.
This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside wellbeing professionals and archaeology specialists to engage a small group of young people through creative, hands-on experiences in a beautiful outdoor setting.
About the Programme
Bradbourne Rejuvenate is designed for a group of 8-10 young people aged 13-16 who may benefit from consistent structure, positive engagement and supportive activities during the summer holidays.
The programme combines archaeology and creative heritage activities with structured wellbeing support. Through regular participation, young people will have opportunities to:
Build confidence and self-esteem
Develop positive relationships with peers and trusted adults
Strengthen self-regulation and emotional wellbeing skills
Explore local heritage and the natural environment
Maintain positive routines and engagement over the summer period
The programme is rooted in creativity, curiosity and connection, creating a supportive environment where young people can explore new experiences and develop a stronger sense of belonging.

The appointed artist will be supported throughout delivery by a trained Wellbeing Worker from West Kent Mind and a project volunteer.Job Requirements
We welcome applications from artists working across a wide range of disciplines, including:
Nature-based and environmental arts
Heritage-inspired practice
Visual arts
Sculpture and installation
Printmaking
Photography, film and sound design
Experimental and interdisciplinary approaches
We are particularly interested in artists who can adapt their practice to an outdoor setting and create inclusive, accessible and engaging activities for young people with diverse needs and experiences.
Applicants should demonstrate:
Experience delivering creative activities with children and young people
Strong communication and facilitation skills
An inclusive and flexible approach to participation
Collaborative work with partner organisations and support staff

Delivery commitment:
Two sessions per week for five weeks
10 sessions in total
5 hours per session
Each session will typically include:
Two 90-minute creative workshops
One hour of joint activity alongside wellbeing and archaeology partners
Set-up and clear-down time
Location
Primary delivery will take place at:
Bradbourne Lakes, Sevenoaks, TN13 3HU
Up to two sessions may take place at alternative heritage or nature-based locations within the local area.
Working Environment
This project is primarily delivered outdoors.
Facilities on site are limited and may include access to a covered pod area. There is currently no provision for:
Electricity
Running water
Storage
Permanent toilet facilities
Artists should be comfortable working outdoors and able to transport and manage materials and resources required for delivery.
