Are you a dynamic fundraising professional with a flair for securing corporate partnerships in the arts? We’re seeking a freelance Fundraising Manager to work with us on a new studio-scale theatre project to help us diversify our funding streams as we prepare for the next stage of the project.

About

Spare Goose is a new play by Danica Corns. It is an unfiltered comedy which takes an intimate look at the complicated nature of female friendships and what it means for someone to always have your back, even when they don't always understand.

The development of Spare Goose is supported using public funding by the National Lottery through Arts Council England.

Job Overview

Job Title: Fundraising Manager - Corporate Partnerships

Salary: £200 per day

Hours: 3 days total

Artform: Theatre

Role: Fundraising

Contract: Freelance

Closing date: Monday 21st July

Location: Midlands / remote

Job Requirements

We're ideally looking for someone who has:

  • a proven track record of securing new partnerships and managing sponsorship relationships in the arts, charity or corporate sector
  • an understanding of the motivations for businesses to work with theatre tours and the partnership structures that are used
  • knowledge of and contacts within the local Midlands business community as well as national organisations
  • strong written and communication skills to craft persuasive proposals
  • strong financial acumen and experience of working with budgets and meeting targets.

Job Responsibilities

Project scope / role (3 days freelance work):

  • Devise a clear and actionable sponsorship strategy targeting relevant corporate partners
  • Advise on and develop a compelling sponsorship package tailored to potential backers
  • Identify prospective sponsors and partners for our upcoming tour of Spare Goose and begin outreach including invitations to our upcoming sharing of the play

This is a short commission to identify and begin conversations with potential sponsors. If you're someone who brings creativity, confidence and clarity to the table, we'd love to hear from you. Working hours / dates are flexible starting from late July / early August.
