About the Project

The Mayor of London has awarded the Royal Borough of Greenwich (RBG) a Cultural Impact Award (CIA) as part of the London Borough of Culture programme. Working in partnership with Tramshed and Royal Greenwich Heritage Trust (RGHT), this skills development programme will empower young people to shape a year-long celebration of local heritage, creativity and community. Tramshed is recruiting and facilitating 2 paid Steering Boards of young people aged 13-18 and 19-30. With mentorship from experienced professionals, they will co-create and deliver events and large-scale cultural moments based on local stories. The award will highlight the voices, talents and histories of Greenwich's diverse young people while strengthening cultural participation across the borough.

The project aims to reach 1 in 10 of Greenwich's residents (30K people) to engage with the programme. The professional team including this role will help manage activities and expectations to gain this impact.

The role holder will also work closely with the local authorities of the Royal Borough of Greenwich and the Greater London Authority to ensure all marketing and messaging is compliant with the CIA overall messaging and brand.
