Freelance Exhibition Officer (Maternity Cover)

Job Description

This is a maternity cover role.
Suffolk Archives is seeking an experienced freelance curator to lead the final stages of delivery of the major temporary exhibition Witches: Suffolk's Dark Legacy at The Hold, Ipswich. The exhibition will explore Suffolk's significant role in England's witch trials, the life and work of the Witchfinder General Matthew Hopkins, local accusations, trials, and the evolving image of the witch through time.

The exhibition is in the advanced stages of planning. This role would involve working to established plans and content and will be responsible for seeing through the final stages of delivery of a compelling, historically rigorous, and audience-focused exhibition that draws on the rich archival collections held at The Hold and pre-arranged nationally significant loans.
