The Opportunities: We have a number of potential opportunities as part of the pool in the East Yorkshire area including: Creative Workshops delivered in school holidays - as part of various programmes - and including working towards Wollstonecraft Festival of Rights and Creativity. Hours for this opportunity would vary deppending upon artists' availability. 'Start Somewhere...in Hull' a creative and cultural human rights training programme, bringing young people together to experience the arts/ charity on their doorstep, whilst exploring that this means from a human rights perspective. We can guarantee artists selected in this process will be offered a minimum of 10 hours work across the year. Lead Facilitator, minimum hourly delivery rate = £25 per hour Workshop Assistant, minimum hourly delivery rate = £18 per hour Where planning time is required, additional hours will be paid at an admin rate (minimum £15 per hour) There will be a number of other possible opportunities for freelancers in our creative facilitators pool pending funding application etc. We are seeking freelancers who are passionate about inspiring young people and promoting human rights education. We are particularly interested in hearing from people who use creative approaches as part of their approach to facilitation "[This project] Exceeded expectations. As well as creating a judgement free environment(easier said then done) allowing all the young people to come out of their shells. (Matthew's Hub Worker about project 'Young people who Lead') Essential Criteria: -A minimum of 3 years facilitating creative sessions with children and young people. -Experience working with children and young people who face/ have faced barriers in their day to day lives. -Creative workshop planning and project planning skills, including developing session plans, using high quality session materials/ resources and understanding the needs for a risk assessment. -Excellent Communication and relationship building skills, both with participants, partners and the staff team. -Experience of co-producing with participants to enable projects to develop. -Experience of ensuring a good safeguarding culture when delivering projects. Desirable Criteria: - Enhanced DBS check (dated within 2 years) - A passion for Mary Wollstonecraft' s life and legacy - An interest in children ' s rights. - Experience supporting evaluation and monitoring of projects. - First Aid Qualification. - Safeguarding Training. Expectations: -Position: Freelance Facilitator. -Reporting to: Programme Development Manager. - Location: This is for London Based Practitioners. It is expected that initially work will be taking place in North London. -Commitment Expectation: The projects and programmes will vary depending on the needs of the project, as well as funding requirements.
