Description

Job Summary

Freelance Fundraising Manager at Tangled Feet to support the fundraising strategy at Tangled Feet over next 6-12 months.

Job Description

Tangled Feet are a theatre and creative therapies company, based in Luton, working extensively in Croydon and touring across the UK. A charity since 2011, we create new theatre pieces through collaboration, co-creation and devising and lead participation and therapies programmes. We work in theatre buildings, in public spaces and in community and educational settings. See http://tangledfeet.com - tangledfeet.com

Our NPO investment supports the company's salaries and overheads and is partly invested into artistic and participation projects and supporting emerging artists. We fundraise for these three strands as well, and have been successful for a number of years in shepherding a mix of large, multi-year grants, smaller amounts from trusts and individual donors, and targeted funds to complete a specific project.

At Tangled Feet fundraising works in tandem with developing new projects, coupled with time focused on fundraising for core costs. Applications are imagined, structured and written in collaboration between a Fundraising Lead, the two Co-Artistic Directors and Participation Director.

We are looking for someone to support us to analyse where our offer meets a potential funder, to maximise the limited capacity of a busy organisation across a competitive funding landscape, to help us articulate the case to support Tangled Feet, and to lead on submitting and managing a range of funding proposals and asks.

This is a freelance role with a lot of scope for flexibility. Currently we are envisioning the role as an initial contract of 21 days, to run from September to March, at £200/day. (£4200).

We are also happy to explore other models of freelance engagement. From April 2026 the role will continue to be resourced at an average of 3 days/month ongoing.
