Job Description

Role Overview

The Tour Booker will play a key role in shaping the national tour of our latest production. We're looking for someone with experience in the performing arts sector, preferably South Asian dance styles, who can identify and secure performance opportunities, build strong industry relationships, and help us design a smart, sustainable tour route. The role requires remote working and the successful candidate must have access to their own laptop and Wifi network. The role will require regular attendance in online meetings and occasional in-person meetings.

About the Production

Just Enough Madness is a solo dance-theatre piece in the Kuchipudi style, blending live Carnatic and western soundscape. It explores mental health and motherhood, delving into postpartum experiences and miscarriage grief. Through mythological and contemporary narratives, the performance challenges societal norms. Following a pilot tour through November 2025 - March 2026 we are looking to secure a national tour for the work, between 8 and 12 dates.

About Payal Ramchandani

Payal is a dance artist and choreographer based in the North East of England. She has undergone rigorous training in India in the classical South Indian dance style of Kuchipudi, studying under some of the most respected masters in the field. She is one of the few artists in the UK practising and evolving this intricate form. Payal's choreographic work moves beyond preservation- she uses the vocabulary of Kuchipudi to explore the quiet ruptures and inherited truths that shape human experience, weaving personal history with collective memory.

Her recent works include The Forest Dream, Once in a Blue Moon, and Of Love and Lament, each inviting audiences into layered emotional landscapes while honouring the integrity of classical form.

The Tour Booker will be paid a gross fee of £2275 incl. Holiday Pay

This is equivalent to:

7 x days (Minimum 8 hours per day) at £325 per day.
