About the Programme: From Devon With Love is Villages in Action's year-round artist development initiative created to support live performance makers at all stages of creating new work for audiences. Whether you're exploring an early idea, developing a short-form scratch piece, or refining a full-length performance ready to share with an audience, From Devon With Love offers multiple access points to help you grow and test your work in a supportive and dynamic environment. This flexible programme creates space for experimentation, feedback, and connection with rural communities across Devon. It's about celebrating the creative process just as much as the final product, providing a platform for artists to test, share, and shape their work alongside peers and audiences. 8 successful applicants will be invited to perform at our From Devon With Love Summer Scratch. Dates & Venues: Thursday 10th July, 7pm, Moor Imagination Collective (Main Hall), Buckfastleigh N.B. You will need to be sociable and up for a conversation with audiences before and after your performance. Your project will be in the initial, early stages of development and ready to share with a test audience. You may have already shared a segment, or this may be your first outing of the idea. You will need to be self-sufficient, able to access rural and remote locations, flexible with get-ins, and able to work with minimal to no technical support. Most venues will only have very basic equipment available (if any), so if your show requires anything more complex, you'll need to provide and operate your own kit.
