Niru Ratnam is seeking a Gallery Assistant to begin in early-September 2025.

Hours: Pre-agreed dates plus casual contract where work is offered as needed

Rate: £13.85 per hour (London Living Wage)

The Gallery Assistant will be responsible for managing the gallery; welcoming visitors and maintaining the upkeep of the space. Candidates will assist with gallery operations including communications, art fair and exhibition logistics and management, inventory, shipping, production and general administrative day-to-day tasks for both long-term and short-term projects.

The candidate will be joining a small team and should be willing to take on a multitude of tasks. The candidate must be reliable, timely, diligent and detail-oriented with strong organisational and multitasking skills.

Prior familiarity with Adobe, Indesign, Photoshop, Google Docs, Google Sheets, iCal, Dropbox, ArtLogic, Mailchimp is preferred but not essential. Previous experience working in galleries is preferred but not a requirement. This role is based at the gallery at 71-73 Great Portland Street but may require visits to other locations as the job demands.

Working hours are the pre-agreed dates plus casual contract where work is offered as needed. The pre-agreed dates will cover weeks when art fairs take place. We will provide your weekly rota 2 weeks in advance (or as agreed). Workings hours at the gallery at 11.30 - 6pm.

Job Requirements
