Job Summary

Thaddaeus Ropac is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Gallery Intern to join our London team. This full-time, paid internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a leading international contemporary art gallery.

Job Description

The intern will work closely with various departments, assisting with daily gallery operations, research and administrative tasks. This role is ideal for an individual looking to develop their skills and gain insight into the workings of a blue-chip commercial gallery.

Job Requirements

Candidate Requirements:
Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK.
A BA in contemporary art, history of art or a related field.
A strong interest in contemporary art and the commercial gallery sector.
Excellent written and spoken English.
Excellent organisational and communication skills.
A proactive attitude, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
High attention to detail and proficiency in Google Workspace.
Previous experience in a gallery or arts-related setting is desirable but not essential.

5 days work week, full time, 10am to 6pm daily, with occasional extra hours which will be compensated.
Fixed-term internship (duration to be discussed).
Based at Thaddaeus Ropac, London.
London Living wages (hourly)

Job Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:
Run errands for the team as needed.
Prepare tea and coffee for staff and guests.
Provide administrative and logistical support across all departments.
Assist with research for exhibitions, artists and sales projects.
Support events, private views and exhibition openings.
Support the front-of-house team, ensuring a welcoming experience for visitors.
Assist in maintaining the gallery space and managing the book inventory.
