Studio Wayne McGregor is seeking a General Manager to oversee the organisation's administrative, financial and operational functions. Reporting to the Executive Operational Director, the role ensures the studio operates efficiently, compliantly and sustainably while supporting the organisation's artistic and strategic goals. As part of the management team, the General Manager will oversee day-to-day operations including finance, HR, governance, policy implementation and building management. The role works closely with the Executive Operational Director, Technical Director and Studio Team to maintain high operational standards across the organisation. Responsibilities include managing studio operations, financial systems, organisational administration, HR processes, compliance, risk management and internal communications. The postholder will also support budgeting, audits and policy development across areas including Health & Safety, Safeguarding, Equality, Diversity & Inclusion and Sustainability. The successful candidate will act as an ambassador for Studio Wayne McGregor, promoting a collaborative, professional and inclusive working culture. The ideal candidate will have strong operational management experience within an arts or creative organisation, including building and facilities management. They will demonstrate excellent financial management and budgeting skills, alongside knowledge of charity governance, employment law and regulatory compliance. Applicants should have experience managing organisational systems, HR processes and operational planning, with the ability to oversee multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of Arts Council England priorities and reporting frameworks is essential. Strong communication, organisational and leadership skills are required, along with the ability to work collaboratively across teams and with external stakeholders. Desirable experience includes working within a studio-based, artist-led or performance organisation, particularly in dance or live performance.
