Job Description

The role: Grant Manager (Arts, Culture and Heritage)

The Fidelity UK and international Foundations are looking to recruit a Grant Manager (Arts, Culture & Heritage) to manage and develop a portfolio of grants for the Arts, Culture & Heritage Programme.

The Foundations' approach is distinctive, in that they focus on capacity building to strengthen the impact, effectiveness and/or financial sustainability of NFP organisations so they can thrive & fulfil their mission and goals.

Based in London (Cannon Street) the post-holder will need to be in the office at least 2-3 days per week, and available to be in the office on additional days /travel for site visits, as required.

Working closely with the Programme Manager (Arts, Culture & Heritage), the Grant Manager will be responsible for development and delivery of a significant portfolio of grants. While this is a UK-focused role, post-holder will also support development of an international grant portfolio (& work on grant-making across other programmes) as required.

The person:

The successful candidate will have in-depth knowledge of the UK arts, culture and heritage sectors' funding ecology, policy environments & cultural, social & economic impact. They will also have a combination of experience of grant-making alongside working within arts, culture & heritage organisations. They will also have a keen interest in the interconnections between arts, culture & heritage and environmental conservation, health & wellbeing and/or children & young people.

Given the Foundations' focus on strengthening capacity of NFP organisations, and their financial sustainability/resilience, the ideal candidate will have the analytical skills and knowledge to assess organisations on factors such as leadership and governance, impact, financial health and strategic planning. They will also be adept at exploring how proposed capacity building projects will strengthen organisations under consideration for receiving funding.
