This is a rare opportunity to join Mosaic Rooms in a new senior leadership role. The Head of Development is responsible for building Mosaic Rooms' fundraising and philanthropy function, securing a resilient and healthy future for the organisation. You will report to the Director and work with the Board of Trustees' Development Committee to create an ambitious, ethical and sustainable income base that supports the organisation's artistic and community mission. The Head of Development will galvanise the communities for whom Mosaic Rooms has been an essential cultural space, including Palestinians and wider SWANA communities, artists, allies and solidarity networks, and build fundraising infrastructures that are creative, reciprocal, ethical and community-rooted. You will build and deliver a fundraising strategy across trusts and foundations, public funding, individual giving and corporate philanthropy; establish sustainable fundraising infrastructures; act as ambassador, cultivating partnerships and supporter networks; oversee earned income strategy; and ensure fundraising activity is ethically grounded, compliant and aligned with the organisation's mission and principles. You will shape strategy, drive initiatives and build partnerships within a collaborative, supportive and inclusive environment. We're seeking an experienced fundraising leader who understands challenges in the cultural and funding landscape and approaches fundraising as relationship-building grounded in shared values and long-term solidarity. You are an experienced fundraising leader with a strong track record of securing funding and networks; a strategic thinker able to design and implement fundraising infrastructures; and an exceptional relationship-builder committed to ethical, values-led fundraising. Essential: Minimum 5 years' fundraising experience in the arts or cultural / charity sector. Knowledge of fundraising landscape, government policies and sector reports. Experience securing funds from trusts, foundations, public funders and major donors. Experience building relationships with donors and stakeholders and managing individual giving programmes. Excellent communication and case for support writing skills. Track record of meeting funding targets, with budget management and financial planning skills. Strong evaluation, strategic planning and reporting skills. Strong IT and CRM skills, maintaining donor records with GDPR compliance. Ability to take initiative, work collaboratively and prioritise within a busy working environment. Experience working with artists and strong awareness of equity, diversity and social impact. Work closely with the Director and SMT to develop and implement a five-year fundraising strategy, strengthening fundraising capacity and embedding systems and processes. Set annual fundraising priorities, income targets and growth plans, and monitor and evaluate fundraising performance against targets. Identify opportunities, assess risk and respond strategically to funding challenges. Identify new trusts, foundations and public funding opportunities and develop compelling cases for support. Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective funders and oversee funding applications, ensuring timely submission and compliance. Lead philanthropy programme, identify, cultivate and build relationships with donors, patrons and corporate supporters.
