Description

Job Summary

Shakespeare's Globe is currently seeking a Head of Digital and Data to join our Digital and Data team on a fixed term (6 month) full-time basis.

Job Description

We are committed to improving diversity and inclusion across our organisation. Don't meet every single requirement? Studies have shown that women and the Global Majority are less likely to apply for jobs unless they meet every single specification. If you're excited about the role but your experience or qualifications don't perfectly align, we encourage you to apply anyway. We particularly encourage applications from underrepresented groups such as the global majority, LGBTQA+, those from a working-class background, those with a disability and neurodiverse conditions.

The opportunity:

We are seeking an experienced interim Head of Digital and Data to provide senior leadership across our digital platforms, data infrastructure, and audience insight programmes for an initial six-month period while we access the department structure and needs of the organisation during a period of change and new appointments.

This role oversees all the Globe's digital platforms including our main website, streaming service Globe Player and our Teacher resource platform Teach Shakespeare, as well as driving our organisational digital strategy. The department includes oversight and relationship management of our CRM system, email and marketing automation system (Acoustic) and customer journey mapping as well as our data, insight and research functions.

For the full job specification and information on the Digital and Data team and the Audiences Department please see the job description on our main jobs page.

Job Requirements

What we're looking for:

- Proven senior digital leadership, managing complex websites, platforms and digital teams
- Hands-on CRM and data experience, ideally in a customer/audience-focused organisation
- Experience with Tessitura or comparable. Ticketing/CRM systems is a strong advantage
- Track record of using data and insight to drive commercial and audience outcomes
- Strong understanding of GDPR, data integrity and compliance requirements
- Experience managing digital agencies and external suppliers
- Excellent communication skills - able to translate technical solutions for non-technical stakeholders
- Proactive comfortable operating at speed in an interim capacity
