Job Description

Position Title: Head of Engagement

Reports to: Flourishing Lives Board of Trustees

Line Manager to: Freelance Reflective Practice therapists, delivery partners, and volunteers.

Hours: Part-time, 3 days (22.5 hours) per week.

Salary: £43,000 pro rata (0.6 FTE)

Job Purpose:
Flourishing Lives is looking for a new Head of Engagement to join our Executive staff team.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for exploring growth and strategic development, and will be ideal for anyone who is passionate about the arts and ageing and who wants to help make London a truly great place to age creatively.

The Head of Engagement will work alongside the Programme Director to co-lead and manage Flourishing Lives' strategic direction, finances, and operations. Working with the Programme Director and Board of Trustees, they will create and manage a strategic
framework to ensure that the Flourishing Lives coalition continues to be a hub for best practice, creativity, inclusion, and innovation across the older people's arts and wellbeing sector.

The recruitment process will consist of two stages:
First-round interviews will be conducted online on Monday, March 10th and Tuesday, March 11th.
Successful candidates will be invited to a second-round in-person interview at Hoxton Hall (130 Hoxton St, London N1 6SH) on Tuesday, March 18th.

Experience of arts and creativity in a health and wellbeing context.

Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Experience of working with partners and an ability to communicate effectively with diverse audiences and stakeholders.
Experience of developing strategic partnerships to achieve mission-driven outcomes in a relevant sector.
Experience of financial / budget management.
An ability to drive projects to completion.

Job Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

The Flourishing Lives Executive team consists of two members of staff: a full-time Programme Director and part-time (0.6 FTE) Head of Engagement. The Head of Engagement will provide vision, leadership and direction in collaboration with the Board of Trustees, Programme Director, Lived Experience Action & Advisory Groups, arts and wellbeing partner organisations, and community groups.

Financial Management

Co-develop and implement, with the Programme Director, a funding strategy, including budget management.

Programmes

Responsible for the Reflective Practice, Intergenerational practice and Best practice programmes, Age Activism campaigns and policy work.

Partnerships

Build and maintain strong strategic partnerships.

Ensure an inclusive culture and ethos of warmth, respect, best practice, and good communication.

Communications and Marketing

Work with the Programme Director on the creation and delivery of the communications and marketing strategy.
