- Managing a tight financial envelope and significant financial risk
- Providing timely information and efficiencies so that we can maintain our artistic impact and make it pay so that we have a sound financial base
- Growing our revenue streams
- Increasing our commercial skills and striving to develop and professionalise our corporate services function

- Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with significant post-qualification experience of working as a senior finance professional in the arts sector and charity sector
- Proven experience of managing finance systems and processes, financial and management reporting, audit management, charity tax and VAT, commercial financial analysis
- Demonstrable working knowledge of payroll, timesheets, complex pay elements.
- Significant experience in the analysis, interpretation and reporting of data, with advanced Excel skills and ability to work with large data sets
- Ability to understand the business priorities, workflows and systems in place (including our CRM and partner venue systems) for a touring performing arts organisation, with experience in managing multiple workflows, projects and deliverables to a successful outcome
- Experienced in leading a team and ability to create a work environment where team members can do their best work.
- To lead the Finance function and deliver a comprehensive Finance service to the organisation, in line with given strategic priorities
- To oversee all Finance department work output, to ensure quality standards and robust procedures and process controls are in place
- To lead the Finance team and instil a teamwork and service ethic; to deliver work of a high standard; to line manage all direct reports, and support all team members in their growth and professional development
- To business partner successfully with all internal clients and stakeholders and to build effective working relationships with all external partners and stakeholders
- To uphold a culture of continuous improvement and innovation
