The Chief Electrician takes responsibility for operating and maintaining all lighting and video equipment and running the lighting department. Person Specification Duties and Responsibilities 1. Chief Electrician is responsible for operating the lighting and video equipment for each performance as instructed by the Lighting Designer and Video Designer including all moving and generic lights and all effects and video. 2. To attend all get-in, fit-up and get-outs as required.
3. To attend and operate lighting/video equipment during the technical and dress rehearsals or at other times as requested by the Company Manager.
4. Ensure all required paperwork is created and maintained, including ground plans, lantern schedules, colour calls, cue sheets, and handover documents; providing these to the Company Manager as requested.
5. Recruit, manage and schedule members of the Lighting Department.
6. To co-ordinate and supervise the get-out of lighting/video equipment and to assist other departments until the completion of the get-out.
7. To ensure that all equipment is tested and maintained and in safe working order, making reasonable repairs as requireUseful Links
