Purpose of the Role The Head of Marketing and Communications is responsible for leading the planning, implementation and evaluation of marketing, communications and audience development strategies to elevate the Story Museum's reach and reputation and to meet income and audience targets. They will work strategically and proactively to build strong relationships with audiences, funders, partners, the media, policy makers and other stakeholders on a local and national level to communicate the Museum's purpose and programme. Leading the Marketing & Communications Team, they will devise and oversee the delivery of innovative and targeted campaigns across all marketing and communications channels including digital, print, the media and advertising. They will also take the lead in monitoring, evaluation and communication of the Museum's impact. They will make an important contribution to overall strategic planning and sustainability. This includes contributing to financial stability by leading the Museum's Box Office function and supporting the work of the Programme, Learning, Development and Commercial teams with marketing and communications support.
