Job Summary

The Head of Marketing is a member of the Senior Management Team and undertakes the development and management of the delivery of all Torch Theatre marketing, audience engagement, ticket sales and communications activity working closely with the Senior Management Team & Artistic Director.

Head of Marketing reporting to the Artistic Director (Chief Executive) and responsible for a Marketing (Social Media) Officer Marketing (PR) & Translation Officer and Graphic Designer

Job Requirements

Enthusiasm and passion for theatre with a strong background in arts marketing; A marketing qualification to degree level or equivalent relevant experience (at least 3 years' experience planning and delivering marketing and communications campaigns to grow audiences and drive sales in sectors such as theatre, visitor attractions, hospitality, leisure, heritage, or museums); Minimum of 2 years' experience of managing a small team; Experience of planning and implementing successful marketing and sales strategies and customer engagement, with a passion for expanding access to the arts; Experience of effectively managing a diverse team with a clear understanding of equality, diversity and inclusion principles; Excellent organisational and communication skills; Creative, imaginative and innovative thinker, able to generate effective solutions and identify new opportunities; and Strong copywriting and proofing skills

Job Responsibilities

Develop, implement and regularly update the Marketing Strategy for the Torch to increase and sustain audiences, adapting and growing these plans in line with new insights as appropriate. Create and deliver appropriate evaluation across all marketing and communications activities, including capturing, analysing and reporting audience data to support marketing the theatre and to provide regular reporting to the Board. Develop and deliver the social media strategy ensuring maximum impact from digital platforms, ensuring the protocol is appropriately followed by all staff. Ensure strong and helpful bilingual messaging and responses with a robust impact assessment and reporting arrangements. Manage, maintain and develop the Torch's bilingual website, ensuring it is fit for purpose and meets the needs of users of the site. Also, to manage the effective representation of the Torch on other relevant websites. Develop and lead on the delivery of the brand communications strategy.
