Wild Rumpus are looking for a Head of Production and Operations to lead the sustainable operations workstream. The sustainable operations workstream delivers all the physical elements of our our work, such as large-scale events and installations.

Job Description

The Head of Production and Operations will lead the sustainable operations workstream working closely with the Director and Creative Director.

The sustainable operations workstream delivers all the physical elements of our our work, such as large-scale events and installations. As well as the management of our facilities such as workshops, office and creation spaces. They work closely with creative development to realise their ideas, making sure they are created in a safe and sustainable ways

We're looking for someone who can lead this area of our work, guide and support the team as well as manage and coordinate resource. You'll have an in depth understanding of our production and operational processes and oversee the day-to-day management of our facilities.You'll be comfortable with monitoring and reporting and contributing to the organisation's strategic priorities.

We can be flexible with regards to this being a full time or part time role and what that means practically. We can discuss with candidates during the interview process. The minimum requirement for this role is a 0.8 FTE which is 4 days per week.The role will involve UK travel including some overnight stays.

Full Time Salary (1 FTE) £35,000

Job Requirements

Project Management

  • Operational lead on all projects.
  • Operational contact for all venues, clients and partners
  • Forecasting, creation and management of all operational budgets and schedules
  • Work closely with our accessibility and sustainability leads to set and deliver objectives.
  • Accountable for CDM and contractor management systems.

Leading People

  • Guiding the sustainable operations workstream to deliver high quality and safe event experiences.
  • Consulting with the wider teams during idea generation
  • Recruitment and management of all production freelancers and contractors, ensuring finance and HR processes are adhered to.
  • Liaising with Senior Management on resource and developing staffing plans for projects

Facilities Management

  • Managing the smooth running of our facilities.
  • Coordinating any maintenance works required and managing contractors
  • Key point of contact with property managers.

Health and Safety

  • Health and Safety lead on all projects and organisation-wide.
