About the role:
To manage and ensure the delivery of a programme of temporary displays arising from the Museum's masterplan projects. Working with colleagues across the Museum, develop content and deliver a programme of interim displays for material decanted in advance of gallery redevelopments, as well as a series of changing displays. Responsible for the deployment of project management and delivery processes to ensure the success of the programme including, but not limited to, budget, programme, risk, stakeholder and quality management. Stakeholder management is a key aspect of this role.

Job Requirements

About you:
Degree in a relevant subject.
Experience in managing complex exhibition or display projects, involving multi-disciplined teams.
Experience of developing project processes e.g. budget, risk, programme, stakeholder, issue management and methodologies to deliver large projects.
Team management and development.
Excellent organisation, problem solving, risk management and communication skills.
Ability to drive programmes with multiple workstreams.
Demonstrated experience of leading and motivating teams to deliver on time and within budget.
Ability to problem solve through agile and flexible thinking. Ability to lead, motivate, create and innovate.

Job Responsibilities

Key areas of responsibility:
To ensure the successful delivery of a programme of interim and temporary displays that appeal to visitors, through a robust, yet flexible, project delivery approach.
To develop, manage, and motivate multi-disciplinary project teams to work collaboratively and deliver challenging projects to budget and programme constraints ensuring high quality outputs. This includes developing and pro-actively managing project budgets, programmes, and objectives, ensuring issues and risks are appropriately monitored, mitigated and escalated. To monitor and manage a project's critical path and ensure the delivery of milestones.
To work with curatorial, design, interpretation and other colleagues to develop display content and ensure an integrated approach between design and content workstreams. To develop and manage a schedule of delivery for this workstream as part of the wider Museum programme.
