Candidates will require relevant hands-on professional experience in a management position and should be able to lead and supervise a busy wardrobe department. The successful candidate will act as the primary point of contact for all costume matters on site, managing the day-to-day running of the department and ensuring the Costume designs are maintained to the highest standard throughout the production. Responsibilities will include planning, briefing and supervising wardrobe assistants, dressers and laundry crew; overseeing daily laundry, steaming, alterations, repairs and show presets; managing costume plots, quick changes and costume resets during performances; maintaining costume stock, inventories and storage areas; and coordinating dry-cleaning, hire requirements and department consumables. The Head of Wardrobe will also be responsible for departmental administration, including petty cash management and record-keeping. Candidates should demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be able to liaise effectively with the Creative Team, Production, Company Management and Stage Management. They should be able to work calmly and efficiently under pressure, with strong organisational and time management skills to ensure the smooth running of the production and wardrobe department.
